Outdoor experiences in South Tyrol

Active hoildays in every season

Many hiking trails invite you to explore our wonderful region in strict contact to Alpine nature. A highlight is the famous Meran High Mountain Road, a beautiful high-Alpine circular hiking route of over 100km that surrounds South Tyrol’s largest nature park, the Texel Group Nature Park.

There is a wide range of paths for everyone: simple walks for the whole family such as from Aschbach to Mount St. Vigil (cable car for free with our AlgundCard!), trekking to the alpine peaks overwhelming Algund, climbing trails and the splendid one-day circular tour to the Spronser lakes.

We would be glad to help you organizing your hikes and walks!

Bicycling and mountain biking

The holiday region of Meran and surroundings has become in the years an exclusive location for cycling holidays. Around Algund there is a variety of opportunities to discover the beautiful landscape along the best prepared cycle paths towards Bozen, in the Passer Valley or in the splendid Vinschgau Valley. The modern Vinschger railway brings you to different stations in the Vinschgau, and from there you can cycle back to Algund.

If you are looking for more action, you can explore the various mountain bike trails of our alpine region. The Bike & Hike shop in Algund offers best equipment and services for your biking holidays: guided tours, bikes and equipment for rent and repairs.

Bikes for rent are available here too: Südtirol Rad »
